Summary

Glaz-Tech Industries is seeking an experienced controller to oversee this high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have experience as an accountant in our industry, preferably in a senior role. Handling high-level accounting, managerial accounting and overseeing the financial activities of the company alongside the CFO. The controller will also produce thorough financial-status reports for senior managers to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Maintains daily accounting and general ledger activity including, but not limited to, bank reconciliations, journal entries, financial schedules, billings.
• Ensures strong business processes, administration, and financial management.
• Assists in Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
• Monitors financial details to ensure legal compliance.
• Reviews and processes payments to/from the company.
• Maintains an accurate filing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents.
• Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business.
• Overseeing and reviewing work done by the finance team.
• Liaising with external auditors and tax agents.
• Looking into strengthening current internal controls and process improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ten or more years of professional accounting experience
• Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
• Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
• Exemplary history of financial project management

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
• Five or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
• Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant)
