Etana Custody is looking for a Controller!

You Will

As the Controller, you will be responsible for all accounting operations of the company. This includes production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and comprehensive controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. The Controller must ensure reported financial results are accurate and comply with generally accepted accounting principles. This position reports to VP of Finance.

• Prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, taxes, and other related financial activities, including accounts payable
• Establish, maintain, and enforce documented system of accounting policies, practices, and procedures to guide decision-making and maximize return on assets
• Analyze, develop, and implement internal financial controls to maximize protection of company assets
• Make recommendations on budget objectives to department leaders through extensive financial data analysis
• Achieve budgeting goals by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
• Proactively prepare financial reports and provide company’s financial condition to VP of Finance, executive team, and board of directors as necessary
• Research existing and new legislation to ensure company’s adherence to global, federal, and state legal requirements, tax regulations, and compliance reporting
• Assist external auditors by gathering necessary account information, documents, and reports
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Your Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s Degree preferred
• Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in accounting/finance; 3 years’ experience as Controller preferred
• Licensed CPA preferred
• Experience with financial reporting requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and other accounting software
