About the role

Crunchtime is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead a high-performing team of
accounting professionals and support our growing technology company. Responsibilities
will include GAAP accounting, accounting systems, financial close, monthly and quarterly
reporting, internal controls, payroll and tax as well as implementing scalable systems and
processes to support our high growth international business environment. You will have
high visibility to the leadership team and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

What you’ll do as Controller

  • Lead and grow a cohesive and dedicated team of 5-10 accounting professionals
  • Oversee all aspects of global accounting, including revenue recognition (ASC606),
    internal controls, receivables, payables, expenses, cash management, compliance,
    payroll and equity accounting.
  • Oversee accurate and timely financial close.
  • Manage debt compliance.
  • Assist with internal and external compliance.
  • Working closely with the CFO, interact with cross functional colleagues and
    executives to provide meaningful information to evaluate operations and plans.
  • Manage federal, state and international tax compliance processes.
  • Manage key service providers including external auditors, banks, tax firms, payroll
    providers, etc.
  • Develop and maintain effective accounting policies, monthly close process and
    ongoing financial reporting.
  • Own and manage the accounting technology platform (Expensify, Netsuite, Avalara
    etc.)

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including progressive experience with
    a multinational technology company.
  • Netsuite experience is highly desired.
  • Experience managing an accounting team for a company with similar size and
    complexity.
  • Excellent leadership, planning and team building skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience in effectively
    communicating financial information to key stakeholders.
  • Detailed command of GAAP reporting requirements.
  • Proven ability to implement scalable processes and systems in a high-growth
    corporate environment.
  • Strong executional capability, a can-do attitude, ability to shift priorities quickly and
    effectively.
  • Proven leadership and commitment to recruiting, mentoring and training a diverse
    international team.
  • Demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility.

Nice to haves

  • CPA and/or Big 4 experience
  • Experience implementing ASC606 and other major accounting standards.
  • Experience managing GAAP financial audit from beginning to end, delivering a clean
    opinion.
  • Knowledge of hardware accounting practices and business models.
  • Experience implementing an ERP and supporting systems.
