Basin Precision Machining (“BPM”) is the solutions-oriented contract machining division of Basin Industries, a private, diversified industrial company with 13 facilities across 5 countries.

BPM operates on a lean, just-in-time basis with a focus on quality, pricing, and delivery. We possess an arsenal of high-tech equipment and machine complex parts in numerous industries including motorcycle, oil and gas, aerospace, defense, and hydraulic. We lead the industry with the first ATL iTEM400/600 dual shot thermal deburring system in the USA.

CONTROLLER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the closing activities for the company including the preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly and annual P&L, BS and CF statements.
  
  • Review journal entries, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
  • Ensure reserves are adequate and supported
  • Inter-company accounting
• Support the monthly and annual consolidation processes inclusive of:
  
  • Consolidated FA and Intangibles continuity schedules
  • Consolidated equity and debt roll-forward schedules
• Support the interim and annual audit processes with the Group’s external auditors and other third parties.
• Develop and oversee budgets, forecasts, flash reports and track KPIs.
• Weekly and long-term cash flow management inclusive of:
  
  • Weekly cash forecasting
  • Borrowing base preparation and covenant reporting
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filing and government compliance reporting.
• Perform the processing of accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries, if necessary.
• Maintain debt, finance, and operating lease amortizations. 
• Perform general account reconciliations, including cash accounts and inventory to sub ledgers and inventory software.
• Manage the General Ledger and Chart of Accounts.
• Maintain fixed assets and associated depreciation schedules
• Provide special analysis, research or support as requested by management. 

EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of general accounting experience
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with all levels
• Must be a motivated self-starter that is able to work independently
• Attention to detail, organized, and committed to functional excellence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A strong work ethic and high integrity aligned with the culture at Basin
• Plex experience preferred

This position is located in Jefferson, WI.
