Controller

Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, as well as internal control policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements & coordinate the preparation of bank compliance reporting
• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
• Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Responsible for month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Additional financial accounting duties as necessary

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a Controller
• 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, especially ASC 606 compliance
• Must be self-motivated and self-directed; willing to roll up the sleeves to complete all tasks and thinking out of the box on problem solving
• Big plus if working knowledge of SaaS metrics and have worked in startup companies
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills – must have working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Stripe and Bill.com  
• Knowledge of subscription software is a plus
• Must have working authorization

This is a Hybrid position based out of our New York office

The base salary range for this position in the United States is $185,000 to $210,000. The total compensation package for this position may also include performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
