System1 is seeking a self-motivated dynamic individual to serve as the Controller. Reporting into the Chief Accounting Officer, in this role you will be responsible for the overseeing accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, help evaluate accounting and internal control systems..

The Role You Will Have:
- We are seeking a controller to manage our accounting function
- Oversee monthly financial statements, reporting packages and other reports, ensuring their accuracy, timeliness and compliance with GAAP
- Oversee financial reporting process, and support of cross functional teams on required compliance reporting, earnings press release
- Manage payroll process and ensure proper financial reporting of payroll
- Maintain all aspects of the general ledger and perform account reconciliation and analysis as required
- Collaborate with other members of finance in providing accounting guidance on complex and unusual transactions
- Identify and implement process improvements in the accounting processes
- Review internal controls design, and help ensure that internal controls are operating as designed
- Respond to internal and external audit requests, as required
- Perform financial statement analysis, as needed
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls as it pertains to financial reportingÂ
- Assist in various ongoing and ad-hoc projects or initiatives as needed
What You Will Bring:
- 8+ years of combined work experience in external audit or corporate accounting
- Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or FinanceÂ
- Big 4 experience/large national accounting experience required
- Strong technical accounting skills •Â
- SEC reporting experience
- Oracle experience a plus
- CPA required
- Detail-orientedÂ
- Able to multi-task, and be a team playerÂ
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbalÂ
- Analytic ability to identify problems and arrive at practical solutions
- Advanced Excel skills

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $181,000 - $272,400 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. System1’s headquarters is located in Marina del Rey, CA with additional offices in Bellevue, WA and Guelph, ON, Canada. Employees near office locations are returning to the office. Location-specific policies and available accommodations will be discussed during the interview process.
