Accountabilities
You will oversee and optimize all financial operations while acting as a key strategic partner to leadership. Your responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Preparing and presenting financial statements, management reports, and executive-level insights.
- Driving budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and performance tracking.
- Building financial models and conducting profitability analyses to support strategic initiatives and investments.
- Enhancing financial systems by integrating ERP, e-commerce, and inventory platforms to ensure data accuracy and scalability.
- Establishing internal controls, policies, and KPIs to improve governance, transparency, and operational efficiency.
- Managing compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit requirements while mitigating financial risks.
- Leading and mentoring the finance team, while collaborating cross-functionally to support business objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- 7–10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including 3–5 years in a Controller or senior leadership role.
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, or inventory-driven business models is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (US GAAP and/or IFRS) and tax regulations.
- Advanced skills in financial modeling, Excel/Google Sheets, and ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks.
- Experience integrating financial systems with operational platforms and improving processes at scale.
- Proven ability to lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting in dynamic environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present insights to executive stakeholders.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to work remotely while aligning with US-based time zones and managing multiple priorities effectively.
