We are looking for an experienced Controller to manage all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, tax, regulatory and financial reporting, budget tracking, audits for GAAP, bank and 401k, as well as ownership of internal control policies and procedures.

This is a full-time position reporting to the VP of Finance & Strategy. We prefer this person to be in Chicago and able to work from our office in the Loop, but we are open to remote applicants. Vibes has been recognized in 2023 as a Built In Best Hybrid Places to Work.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including bookkeeping, billing & collections, cost accounting, revenue recognition
- Handle all aspects of payroll operations
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Coordinate preparation of any regulatory, investor and taxing authority reporting
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Manage month-end and year-end close process
- Manage annual financial audit and financial statement preparation and annual 401k audit
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, federal and international government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Requirements
- 7+ years of accounting and finance experience
- CPA required
- Strong proficiency as a NetSuite administratorÂ
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience managing at least two direct reports
- 3+ years’ experience at a SaaS company preferred

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this role is $140,000 - $170,000 annually, including base salary and any related performance-based bonuses/commissions. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills and certifications.
