This role is responsible for the financial health and operational excellence of the business. You'll oversee Finance, Accounting, and HR, working alongside the CEO and leadership team to support sustainable growth while maintaining the values that make us who we are.
Responsibilities:
Finance & Strategy
β Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning, and strategic modeling.
β Manage cash flow, capital allocation, and investment planning.
β Provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
β Support company growth and funding strategies, including banking and investor relationships.
Accounting Operations
β Oversee accounting functions including month-end/year-end close, AP/AR, GL, and
internal controls.
β Ensure financial reports are accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant.
β Coordinate external audits and work with tax advisors to ensure compliance and
reporting accuracy.
Human Resources & Culture
β Oversee HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and
performance management.
β Build scalable people systems while supporting a culture of collaboration, accountability,
and growth.
β Support employee engagement, development, and retention strategies aligned with company values.
Leadership & Oversight
β Lead and mentor the finance, accounting, and HR teams.
β Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting tools across departments.
β Identify operational improvements and cost-saving opportunities that align with business goals.
Qualifications:
β Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (MBA or CPA
preferred)
β 8β10+ years of progressive financial leadership, ideally in a high-growth or
energy-focused company
β Experience overseeing or directly managing HR functions
β Strong understanding of GAAP, corporate finance, compliance, and people operations
β Entrepreneurial mindset with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
β Passion for clean energy and building purpose-driven companies
β Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a team-first mentality
