We are seeking aControllerwith a minimum of10 years of experiencein commercial real estate finance and operations. This position plays a pivotal role in overseeing financial functions, managing accounting staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, solution-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with complex financial structures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Oversight:
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow across multiple commercial entities
• Maintain and reconcilemultiple bank accountsandescrow accounts
• Overseeaccounts receivableandaccounts payable, ensuring timely reporting and collections
• Contract and Loan Management:
• Review and interpretloan documentsandcommercial real estate agreements
• Coordinate with legal counsel for rent recovery litigation and pass-through collection matters
• Reporting and Compliance:
• Prepare financial statements, variance analysis, and executive-level reporting packages
• Ensure compliance with establishedinternal controlsand accounting policies
• Team Leadership:
• Supervise and mentorbookkeepersand accounting staff
• Build efficient systems for performance tracking and operational accountability
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Partner closely with legal and operations teams to uphold organizational procedures
• Ensure adherence to pre-established protocols for collections, tenant communications, and dispute resolution
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
• Minimum10 years of progressive experiencein commercial real estate finance
• Demonstrated expertise inloan structure review,lease analysis, andescrow administration
• Strong proficiency in financial systems and enterprise accounting software
• Proven ability to manage teams and lead cross-department initiatives
Must be experienced in Excel and Word Document, Yardi
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
