What You'll Be Doing
As a member of our Internal Accounting Team, the controller is integral to the daily operations and administration of our firm, ensuring that our accounting processes are efficient and effective. This position supports the Director of Finance & Accounting. This is a full-time, exempt position. See list of responsibilities below:
- Monitor, preserve, and improve system of controls over accounting transactions
- Maintain and improve a documented system of accounting policies, procedures, and controls
- Oversee timely operations of the accounting department (payroll, accounts payable, billing, etc.)
- Prepare and issue prompt and accurate financial statements on a monthly basis
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes and perform variance analysis
- Prepare compliance reporting as needed
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Oversee collection of data as needed for applications and surveys
- Coach, mentor, and provide performance feedback to accounting staff
- Serve as a back-up to accounting staff as needed
- Supervise accounting team members in India
- Other duties as required

What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a controller
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Experience with Sage Intacct preferred
- Self-starter able to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
