Controller - Nordic

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Controller to join our Nordic finance team on a temporary contract basis, covering a maternity leave. This position can be based in one of our offices in Kjeller, Norway or Gothenburg, Sweden.

Your tasks

As the Controller Nordic, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial health of the organization. Your responsibilities will include managing and controlling the financial resources, ensuring compliance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards. You will also provide financial analysis and reporting, covering areas such as taxation, insurance, credit control, accounts payable and receivable, inventory and costs control, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly and year-end reporting, including forecasts, budgets, and statutory financial statements in line with local GAAP.
• Provide analytical support for New Business/Lifecycle services and recommend process improvements.
• Support the accounting team with PO invoicing, Netting processes, and stock takes.
• Conduct internal control reviews to ensure compliance and enhance financial systems.
• Manage financial resources, ensuring all transactions and procedures meet regulations and accounting standards.
• Perform financial analysis, handle taxation, insurance, credit control, and manage accounts payable/receivable, inventory, and cost control.
• Advise management on financial matters, regulations, and budgeting processes.
• Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and regulatory filings.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax returns and other required reports.

Your profile

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Finance or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
