Controller
Rooled is looking for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Controller. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to advance their career in financial leadership while working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
As a Controller, you will play a key role in managing the financial reporting and accounting operations for multiple companies. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, preparing financial statements, assisting clients with budgeting and forecasting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, coordinating with external auditors, and providing strategic financial insights. This position offers a unique opportunity to work as an external consultant for our clients while collaborating with an experienced internal team across various industries.
This is a hybrid position based out of our San Jose, CA office, requiring at least three days in-office per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Financial Reporting:
o Prepare accurate and timely financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
o Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to management.
o Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations.
· Accounting Operations Management:
o Oversee daily accounting tasks such as journal entry posting, account reconciliation, and data entry.
o Monitor and manage the general ledger.
o Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
· Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Develop and manage annual operating budgets
o Prepare financial forecasts based on business trends and strategic plans
· Audit Coordination:
o Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes
o Prepare necessary audit schedules and supporting documentation
· Financial Analysis:
o Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate financial health and identify areas for improvement
o Provide management with insightful financial reports and recommendations
· System Implementation and Maintenance:
o Assist in selecting and implementing accounting software tools (Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, etc.)
o Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
· Extensive experience in accounting and financial management
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency in accounting software and tools
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and stakeholders
· Understanding of different business industries and their unique financial requirements
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
