Position Overview:Â
As part of the talented controls team, you will be responsible for supporting automation, data and control processes for our manufacturing operations. You'll work with a team of managers, supervisors, technicians, planners and production employees on the plant floor, as well as manage assigned projects from inception to completion. Daily tasks can range from troubleshooting a machine or robot, writing a SOP's, implementing a preventative/predictive maintenance procedure, working with various software's or creating/troubleshooting a data collection process. You will be consistently learning, adapting and improving processes to support operations in a fast-paced environment.Â

Essential Functions:Â

Supports manufacturing in troubleshooting automation and controls issuesÂ
-
Develop, implement, and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance proceduresÂ
-
Participate on internal teams in order to facilitate the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of factory automationÂ
-
Influence and support the design and implementation of factory automation equipmentÂ
-
Document/write maintenance SOP's to perform repair and diagnostic functionsÂ
-
Facilitate the definition and execution of design verifications and manufacturing control plansÂ
-
Engineering controls and software solutions for manufacturing work cellsÂ
-
Support TPM effortsÂ
-
Leverage analytics to make strategic and tactical business decisionsÂ
-
Education and Experience RequirementsÂ
Required Qualifications:Â
-
Bachelor’s Degree in CS, ME, IE, EE (Controls Engineer Position)Â
-
4 or more years of experienceÂ
-
Competent in programming PLC’s, specifically Allen BradleyÂ
-
Understanding of industrial network infrastructures, i.e. Ethernet Â
-
Ability to read / understand controls prints and draw / modify prints using AutoCADÂ
-
General knowledge of tooling and equipment associated with a manufacturing environmentÂ
-
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact in a team environment with other employees and groupsÂ
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)Â
Preferred Qualifications:Â
-
Exposure to technologies such as RFID, vision systems, and robotsÂ
Working Conditions:Â
-
Mix between office and production floor, variance is driven by operational needs.Â
-
Exposure to machine shop manufacturing setting (noises, moving vehicles/parts, minor coolant & oil mist, etc.)Â
-
Occasional light to medium lifting up to 20lbs.Â
-
Physical requirements include standing, sitting, typing, and stooping.Â
