As a Controls Engineer at Mujin, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing control systems for our advanced industrial automation solutions. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless integration of PLC- hardware and software, ensuring the efficient operation of complex robotic systems. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop control system architectures for Material Handling equipment and robotic applicationsÂ
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine InterfacesÂ
- Develop and optimize control algorithms for safety features, and precision tasksÂ
- Conduct system testing, validation, and commissioning to ensure reliable and efficient operationÂ
- Provide technical support to field service teams during installation and maintenanceÂ
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in controls engineeringÂ
- Complete the commissioning of complex systems that integrate PLC- hardware and softwareÂ
- Experience in understanding schematics and control panels, translating conceptual designs into practical engineering solutionsÂ
- Display a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and cross-functional problemsÂ
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or comparable engineering degreeÂ
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in PLC programming, preferably with Siemens platformsÂ
- Proficiency in ladder logic and structured text programmingÂ
- Strong working knowledge of HMI/SCADA systemsÂ
- Effective communication and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the year, as required by project demands, allowing you to provide onsite support and engage with customers effectively Â
