Conversion Rate Optimization Manager (eCommerce CRO)
Job Description
Freebird is seeking an ambitious, creative, and growth-driven eCommerce CRO Manager who will oversee the day-to-day operations of our rapidly growing e-commerce Shopify website. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in optimizing the customer experience and driving revenue growth. While focusing on creating beautiful, functional, and accessible eCommerce experiences while strategizing and deploying constant experiments to optimize our overall growth strategy.
The ideal candidate brings a background in product, growth, and/or product analytics for eCommerce brand(s), with technical experience working alongside marketers, UX & UI designers, & developers to launch high-converting eCommerce experiences that directly impact key metrics (CVR, AOV, RPV, etc). He or she has an eye for user experience, is fueled by growth, and enjoys balancing design & conversion while simultaneously working cross-functionally and prioritizing our product & marketing roadmap.
What You'll Do• Lead the strategy and execution of the Freebird website(s) and oversee all major site developments, conversion-driven optimizations, marketing launches, and day-to-day maintenance and merchandising• Coordinate implementation of the eCommerce roadmap including sprint management and prioritization of new digital features, writing clear specs, and working with design, development, and growth marketing stakeholders to guide new features from spec to launch, and post-launch analysis.• Lead experimentation process with rigorous CRO testing driving continuous and meaningful impact to store revenue & KPIs.• Coordinate & launch new and updated subscription products (ReCharge) + strategies to drive conversion, increase take-rates, and optimize upsells on Product Pages (PDPs), the Cart, Post-Purchase Pages, & Thank You Pages (ReBuy)• Lead all site testing and reporting processes to maximize web traffic efficiency, identify opportunities to improve site experience, provide data-driven insights to guide strategy, and report findings & recommendations.• Be accountable for the Shopify website's primary transactional metrics like AOV, CVR, and revenue per visit (RPV), along with secondary metrics that inform these metrics (site speed, bounce rate, pages per visit, add-to-cart rate, etc.)• Develop new user experience strategies to test including simplified user flows, personalized quizzes and product recommendations, and more to funnel prospects into paying customers• Own site merchandising strategy, including where and how products, bundles, and upsells are displayed throughout the site, and run experiments around pricing, offers, and promotions.• Collaborate with growth marketing, retention, & customer success teams to collect user feedback and qualitative insights; dig into analytics & prioritize initiatives to launch for the website.• Align with Product & Marketing teams to provide clear product details, functions and key selling points across iRestore's website(s).• Oversee (and help hire) internal and external development partners to execute new feature development, and build a process to Q/A to perfection across devices and platforms.
Requirements• Minimum 3+ years of eCommerce & CRO experience, ideally either in-house for DTC eCommerce or at a Digital / CRO / eCommerce agency• Extensive experience with Shopify stores with high monthly traffic & over 8-figures in revenue per year• Excellent understanding of UX, web design, customer journey, and web analysis.• Strong understanding & experience using Shopify, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Convert.com and/or other CRO tools, and third-party attribution tools.• Proven track record in A/B testing, conversion management, and sale journey optimization.• Experience managing a sprint planning process and owning an eCommerce new product & testing roadmap.• Deep knowledge of Shopify Plus and the Shopify ecosystem with a history of working on subscription platforms (ReCharge)• Confidence in developing and overseeing eCommerce and website testing strategies.• Data-driven, analytical approach to planning; the right candidate uses data to inform the digital product roadmap and sprint prioritization.• An effective cross-functional communicator, with capabilities to work proactively across internal and external teams.• Analytical and detail-oriented thinker, comfortable with numbers, using Excel and Google Sheets, etc.• Scrappiness with bias towards execution.
Bonus Experience• Experience with ReCharge as a subscription platform.• Experience managing a hybrid front-end through CMS (Prismic)• Experience with ReBuy Personalization Engine (Upsells, Smart Cart, Post Purchase Upsells, etc)• Experience with front-end development.• Strong understanding of landing pages and paid traffic strategy for eCommerce brands.• A passion for personal care, health, and wellness. Understanding and/or experience in the hair growth or regrowth space is a huge plus.• Experience hiring and building an internal development and design team
