Job Description
Chief Operating Officer
THE ROLE
The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for operationalizing the scale-up of two of the core divisions at Audicus: online direct-to-consumer and physical retail stores. This will entail ownership over all our sales, marketing and support divisions, as well as our talent organization.
This role will lead the respective divisional heads with strategy, guidance and tactics, while setting up robust processes and systemic solutions that can support an organization in growth mode. This role comes with a considerable amount of project management, as well as direct P&L responsibilities.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on team builder, with a strong background in operations, sales & marketing, and/or consumer-facing roles, who loves leading ambitious individuals and driving growth. Analytical problem-solvers that can think strategically about repeatable growth - yet are willing to roll-up sleeves, get tactical and “build” - will particularly enjoy this role. Obsessing about our customers and leaving a positive impact, with a principles-first mindset is a must.
This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a company that is disrupting an industry and is having a lasting social impact in people’s lives. This role will report directly to the CEO.Â
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Devising and executing our growth strategy and setting up the organization for scale
- Building robust processes, systems and methods that deliver consistent outcomes
- Owning all our operational KPIs and analytics
- Coordinating all marketing efforts and product launches
- Owning our talent strategy (search, DEI and human resources)
- Driving retail store rollouts with our partner (Albertsons/Safeway)

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 10+ years of experience in strategy, operations and consumer-facing roles
- Significant leadership experience, building, scaling and driving successful teams
- Early stage company experience at the founder or early hire level
- Strong work ethic and mission-driven mindset
- Highly analytical background
We are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce. If you’re excited about this role, but do not meet 100% of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply.
