The AREA OF CONSIDERATION for this vacancy announcement is U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation and reside within the Local Commuting Area (defined as 50-mile radius) of Watervliet, NY.

Spouse Employment Preference (SEP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) are included in this area of consideration.

• Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are NOT authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is NOT in the Government's interest.

• This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
• All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
• Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible (this Flexible position is NOT defined as Regularly Scheduled) employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts.
• A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.

• Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will NOT be paid.
