Coord Pre-Analytic

Overview

Expected pay for this position is $19.81 hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

This job is located in Peoria,IL.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Pre-Analytic Coordinator works with departments in the Laboratory to assist with coordinated efforts related to ordering, collection, transport, and specimen exception handling. This position is responsible for monitoring work lists, providing dispatch support, communicating with customers, and utilizing Laboratory Information System (LIS) and dispatch software to facilitate successful Pre-Analytic operations, providing instruction and education when necessary. This position provides support to the Pre-Analytic - team, including coordination of scheduling, document management, data processing, clerical and administrative support, and developing communication and education to OSF entities and Clients. Manages projects as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Experience: 1 year of experience in an office or clerical role. 6 months experience in a customer service role. Experience using applications on mobile devices. Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in a clinical laboratory, healthcare operations, or medical office setting. Experience with an electronic medical record or laboratory information system, preferably Epic. Experience in providing education/training. Other requirements/information: Collaboration skills and effective time-management. Positive, professional demeanor and attitude. Independent judgment and ability to work without a significant amount of day to day supervision.
