The Strategic Alumni Engagement and Client Relations Coordinator will assist in enhancing the firm's overall alumni engagement initiatives. This position will support the Manager and Specialist in strategic alumni engagement and client relations efforts in effectively engaging a vibrant, robust alumni community through various means of outreach. This individual will be key in analyzing alumni data, organizing alumni events, and in creating internal and external alumni communication.

What You Will Do:

The Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Manager and Specialist in the following areas:

  • Utilize a variety of platforms, including client relationship management (CRM) databases, LinkedIn, Goodwin's alumni portal and other tools to update and mine information related to Goodwin alumni.
  • Maintain and analyze current alumni datasets to produce comprehensive reports and presentations for firm leadership.
  • Draft internal and external communications related to alumni programs and events including, but not limited to: alumni news and highlights, social media posts, newsletters, program invitations, and intranet summaries.
  • Conduct market research to maintain a strong knowledge of alumni offerings and relevant business trends within the legal industry.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop and execute innovative initiatives to expand the reach and impact of the Goodwin Alumni Program.
  • Provide logistical and coordination support for alumni programs and events, including developing and implementing project plans, marketing collateral, event contracts, survey coordination, program administration, calendar management, room reservations, etc.
  • Monitor, measure, and evaluate the success of the firm's alumni programs and events, routinely sharing findings with activity owners and key stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with seasonal co-ops.
  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad hoc projects and Firm alumni and client relations needs.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years working in a law firm or professional services setting preferred.
  • Ability to respect, protect, and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to adapt to new software. Preferred experience with CRM databases, e.g. MS Dynamics or InterAction.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to interface effectively, professionally, courteously, and confidently with internal and external clients.
  • Sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks with the appropriate level of direction from others and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable with analyzing large sets of data.
  • Creative, strategic thinker who takes initiative.
  • Clear and effective communicator who exhibits strong oral and written skills.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage projects from inception to fruition.
