As an International Coordinator, you will coordinate and facilitate all international patients. This includes registration, managing travel arrangements, facilitating patient payments, overseeing all day-to-day activities, correspondence, providing and securing documentation, greeting and welcoming international patients and more.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Manages and facilitates international patients within the time frame requested including registration, travel arrangements, and facilitating patient payments.
- Oversees all day-to-day activities associated with international.
- Acts as a liaison between Cleveland Clinic Florida and outside providers when services are not available.
- Provides and secures necessary documentation to support international needs on a daily basis including collecting insurance information.
- Corresponds with all parties involved and communicates relevant information with International management.
- Secures and provides the necessary medical documents to support the International patients request to travel to CCF.
- Greets and welcomes International patients upon their arrival to CCF.
- Acts as a liaison with PFS and other ancillary departments on the patient's behalf for all International patients.
- Provides and coordinates translation services as requested.
- Ensures that patients and referring physicians are provided with timely reports.
- Provides monthly reports of activities to appropriate managers in a timely manner.
- Maintains complete and up-to-date documentation and files at all times, including product and service quotes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Associate's Degree or two years of experience in a health care setting.
Languages:
- Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
Certifications:
- None required.

- Ability to work with various computer software and understand their relationship to one another.
- Knowledge of patient accounts, which include client service, insurance processing, cash application, hospital and professional billing and pricing.
- Computer literate with demonstrated proficiency of all Microsoft applications.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Experience:
- Two years of experience in a patient service environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Essential Duties: The ability to retrieve and relay information in a written, auditory and/or visual fashion is essential. The methods used to express or exchange ideas are by spoken or written word. Telephone and manual dexterity skills are required. A professional demeanor to promote a positive image for the organization is crucial. The ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers is essential. The capacity to maintain confidentiality in the handling of sensitive information is critical.
- Physical Duties: The position requires prolonged periods of sitting with a light amount of physical work, which may include lifting and carrying items of up to 25 pounds. There is frequent walking, sitting, standing, pushing, pulling, bending and stooping.
- Working Conditions: The occupant of this position spends almost 100% of his/her time in air-conditioned areas. The potential for exposure to blood-borne pathogens, body fluids or potentially infectious material is minimal to none.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Video display terminal screen protector is available upon request.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
