Job Summary

Provides comprehensive organization of data elements, maintaining a current level of knowledge and skills relative to computer system and departmental tracking mechanisms. Performs data entry in an accurate and timely manner. Validates the accuracy of data entry. Provides reports, schedules and requisitions as needed. Validates accuracy of charges making corrections as necessary. Interacts with surgical team in order to facilitate accurate documentation. Participates in data collection. Coordinates database development and management. Defines informational needs and develops plan for implementation of those needs. Prepares monthly statistics for O.R. Committee and others as requested. Assists in coordinating the daily OR schedule inter/intra departmentally. Estimates room and time availability for schedule changes and/or added cases. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
