Job Title: Coordinator, Operations

Reports To: Manager, Operations

Position Location: North Charleston, SC

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Coordinator on-site to play a crucial role in supporting our operational processes. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating various operational activities, ensuring smooth workflows, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to execute and enhance operational strategies and procedures.
  • Assist in managing day-to-day operational tasks, including order processing, inventory management, and shipment coordination.
  • Monitor inventory levels and liaise with procurement to maintain appropriate stock levels while minimizing excess.
  • Coordinate production schedules, ensuring that reference materials are produced accurately and in line with quantity standards.
  • Assist in quality control procedures, working closely with the quality assurance team to maintain product accuracy and consistency.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service, liaising with the sales and customer support teams as needed.
  • Contribute to data analysis and reporting on operational metrics, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Participate in the training and development of operations team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable workforce.
  • Support vendor relationships, including communication and coordination with suppliers when necessary.
  • Uphold a safe and organized work environment, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

years of relevant experience in operations, supply chain, or a related area. Familiarity with certified reference materials or laboratory operations is advantageous.

  • Strong organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective cross-team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with inventory management tools.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and adaptability in addressing operational challenges.
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles and compliance standards is a plus.
