As a Coordinator, Professional Development, you will be trusted to optimize efficiencies of all operational activities and programs, tracking KPIs, and budget management of the US Vision Care (VC) Professional Education and Development team.

A typical day in this role will include:

  • Providing project management of National, Regional, and State optometric conference sponsorships collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to innovatively maximize sponsorship benefits, Share of Voice (SOV), on-time deliverables, and oversight to the Cyber Grants approval process
  • Serving as the primary contact with staff at professional associations for sponsorships, third party vendors, and partner agencies for invoicing
  • Helping to optimize ROI of programs and department budget including trackers, accruals process, all Purchase Orders and invoices, while partnering with the department team, marketing, analytics, Meetings and Conventions, and finance
  • Overseeing the creation and maintenance of SOPs for all department processes and policies
  • Ensuring the CASE and ALEX processes are optimized and back up for processing
  • Collaborating with VC business partners to prepare monthly and other specialized reports, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensuring department adherence to all applicable Compliance and Privacy processes
  • Assisting with overseeing department meeting agendas and processes

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs; M.S.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
