BASIC FUNCTION

This position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payment administration for certain SVOD Businesses within the AMC Networks portfolio. They will review contracts and interpret payment terms for Original and Licensed Productions. The Coordinator must liase with various departments including accounting, legal, operations and finance to ensure payments are being properly accounted for and comply with any and all contractual requirements. They will also work directly with vendors to oversee their set up with AMC Networks ensuring proper forms are provided and submitted to Accounts Payable. They are responsible for ensuring that series payments are made in a timely manner as well as assisting with forecasting of payment timing and tracking cash.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish process with Production, Operations and Legal departments to ensure appropriate production, date based or deliverable milestone triggers have been met for payment processing.
  • Work in conjuncture with the Content Rights Management Dept on ensuring the contractual rights information, deal terms and payment structures for AMC Networks and SVOD platforms are appropriately monitored in the FilmTrack Database.
  • Review payment schedules for Programming on AMC Networks SVOD platforms and enter corresponding data into the FilmTrack Database as part of setting up new series within the system.
  • Confer with key internal departments on all pertinent information regarding contract points and budgets (including talent requirements, license terms, payment schedules).
  • Maintain current reports reflecting agreement status, related production and or development payments, budgets, and general contract and financial terms.
  • Process and track payments for original productions including owned, licensed or acquired for SVOD payments including ALL BLACK and ACORN.
  • Establish relationships with third parties and respond to vendor billing inquiries and resolve any payment issues in order to maintain good standing.
  • Obtain Government Requirements/Tax Forms/VQ Paperwork from all new vendors. Work with Vendor Qualifications Department and Accounts Payable to ensure new vendors are set up in the accounting system in a timely manner in order to begin providing services and receiving payment.
  • Establish process with production executives to verify independent contractor services have been rendered and prepare independent contractor forms and renewals for business, finance and HR approval when necessary.
  • Assist with the month end close process as it relates to cash management
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 0-3 years' experience in a related field
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Ability to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong ability to multi-task.

  • Established organizational skills and process development.

The base compensation range for this position is $52,000.00 to $55,000.00 commensurate with experience.
