Sinclair Broadcast Group is hiring for a Copy Hub Manager for our SASO Copy Hub department.

Copy Hub Manager: Sinclair Ad Support Operations

Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the SASO Copy Hub department with a hands-on approach, with functions including:

  • Leading a large group of remote employees in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrating subject matter expertise with linear copy and department operations
  • Hiring and training new employees
  • Demonstrating strong ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrating excellent customer service approach with internal traffic (SASO) Hubs, sales teams, and clients in timely and professional manor

Duties:

  • Verify receipt of traffic instructions for upcoming media buys
  • Emphasis will be on working ahead to allow adequate time to research missing traffic materials and instructions in the traffic system with corresponding contracts while ensuring accuracy
  • Review Missing Copy/Instructions Reports with traffic and sales teams to ensure receipt of required copy
  • Ensure that each Copy Coordinator follows all policies and procedures including:
    • providing a daily dub list to Master Control and a monthly purge list
    • all copy instructions are thoroughly vetted with a daily "copy-checkback" by a second person other than who entered them
    • all personnel are cross trained for complete coverage of duties
    • all Copy Coordinators maintain consistent and orderly filing system
    • all hub personnel are properly trained on both process and technology systems

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant industry work experience
  • 6+ years management experience including leading remote teams
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with OSI, WideOrbit or similar Linear Traffic system
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership and communication traits
  • Experience with computer, organizational and technology systems
  • Must be able to work independently as well as with a team
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work within deadlines
  • Should have a strong understanding of the Microsoft toolset (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Must be forward-thinking
    • Identify continuous improvement initiatives and opportunities to unlock new possibilities through adoption of new
    • Build and develop high performing, engaged teams as part of the next generation of innovative media content
    • Inspire a culture of continuous learning and adoption of emerging technologies
