Copywriter, 1-Month Contract

A Little About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced Copywriter to work with our creative team to create world-class creative output for our audience of pizza lovers, on a short-term basis.
We need you to be highly organized, a problem solver with an ability to deliver multiple briefs on time and on budget. You will be responsible for writing in the Ooni voice across multiple touch points, including advertising, digital media (website, emails, and digital advertising), physical consumer experiences (retail and events), PR efforts, and internal projects, and have plenty of experience working within an agency or as part of an in-house team.
Expect an exciting and varied role that will see you leading the copywriting team to actively contribute to the development of new ideas and create polished, final deliverables whether working solo or with other creatives.
What you'll do:

• Collaborate with creative team members to lead the conceptual and copy direction of Ooni's branding, marketing, and advertising initiatives
• Brainstorms, concept, collaborate, comp, and present innovative integrated campaigns that garner buy-in while netting measurable results
• Work in Ooni's in-house creative team to create strategic marketing assets for projects including, but not limited to, advertising, digital marketing (email, web banners, digital experiences, social assets, etc.), retail displays, internal sales communication, video content
• Translate creative direction and copy points from creative briefs into engaging and effective copy concepts
• Be a steward of and maintain the Ooni brand in all creative output
• Must be a team player, able to work within budgets and tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Creative evolution - stay up to date with branding and advertising in all mediums

What you'll need to succeed:

• 3 or more years in an advertising or in-house creative role
• Experience with consumer product brands
• Experience in both print and digital marketing/advertising
• Mastery of written communication, both short- and long-form
• Proven creative ability
• Strategic thinker with the ability to solve problems, even when they are not fully defined
• A solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles
• An exceptional copywriting portfolio website
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle different writing demands
• Ability to authentically write for a British English audience, as well as US English
• You're able to come to our office in East Austin Tuesday through Thursday
