Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration or similar field of study
Work Experiences:
- 5+ years professional writing and editing experience required
- Retail writing experience preferred
Skills:
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Solid analytical skills, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet and exceed position requirements under minimal direction and supervision
- Ability to operate professionally and effectively as an individual contributor and member of a team
- Provide superior customer service, demonstrating sound logic and judgment
- Strong understanding of leading social media platforms
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of copy across several channels and co-lead all creative development with the design team to develop all brand advertising (90%)
- Own the voice of the brand and lead efforts to ensure messaging is integrated, consistent, and resonates with our core customer across all channels (100%)
- Partner with advertising team, designers, art directors, marketing stakeholders and advertising management to direct copywriting for all channels (50%)
- Lead collaboration between advertising, category marketing, and channel SME's to develop seasonal and event creative concepts (35%)
- Utilize marketing briefs, data, and insights to craft on-target messaging that drives sales (30%)
- Manage and facilitate relationships with agency and production partners to ensure consistency of communication and quality of creative work (25%)
- Partner with Art Directors to present work to stakeholders and provide solutions to feedback (20%)
- Execute all corrections following each review stage and sign off on projects prior to release (15%)
- Utilize multiple styles, formats, and for a variety of subject matter (60%)
- Remain well-informed on popular culture and trends and monitor the effectiveness of advertising campaigns in contrast to the competitor market set (15%)
- Required to learn company policies, procedures and safety rules
- Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned
