Core Servicing Sr. Specialist

The Loan Administration team powers all of the operations required to keep Valon running smoothly. From onboarding loans to handling insurance and processing payments, the Loan Administration team ensures that homeowners are continuing to get a first-class experience with Valon, all from behind the scenes.

As part of the Core Servicing team the senior specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of loan servicing functions related to paid off residential loans. We are looking for someone who can multi-task between the different responsibilities related to the payoff of loans.  You will be responsible for reviewing and processing incoming requests to complete the payoff process for customers.  Ultimately, the role will allow you to exemplliy our mission by championing homeowners with Valon. 

• Processing of documents and tasks related to loan payoffs.
• Assist closing with daily completion of original deeds to various counties for recording.
• Assist and back-up for release of deeds of trust and trailing recorded docs to be received.
• Managing deadlines for lien releases listed under state guidelines
• Create reporting of tasks completed and identify improvements
• Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of requests  on daily basis 
• Work with internal business partners to develop improved processes and system updates
• Flexibility, ability to multi-task and re-prioritize tasks as needed to meet deadlines

• Bachelors Degree preferred
• 3 to 5 years financial/fin-tech industry experience
• 3 to 5 years mortgage servicing experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and excellent critical thinking skills
• Exceptional problem solving skills 
• Ability to process high volume of tasks/tickets
• Collaboration and communication skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to solve business problems and handle change management in a fast-paced environment
