CORP - Program Financial Analyst

Apogee is actively seeking a Program Financial Analyst (PFA) to provide support in Colorado Springs, CO. The PFA will participate in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk. Activities may include support in the following areas: Project Start-Up, Maintenance, and Close-Out, Performance Analysis, Time, Labor, Travel, & ODC Recording, Reporting, and Analysis, Subcontractor Maintenance, Monthly Financial Reporting, Customer Reporting, Payroll and Pricing Support.

What you will be doing:

• Provide Program/Project Control support as part of the corporate finance team for various contracts.
• Monitor contract funding status and initiate changes, corrections, and modifications.
• Initiate & manage project setup and maintenance (includes project numbers, billing, revenue, ceilings, labor categories, workforce, etc.).
• Assists Directors, Project Managers, and Corporate Management in duties related to financial performance, planning, tracking, and reporting as required for each contract.
• Communicate timecard and expense practices for the project and proactively monitor project timecards and ensure timecards and any corrections are processed in a timely manner.
• Ensure the accuracy of appropriate project cost coding.
• Process required project reports, monitor project costs, identify and resolve issues.
• Conduct complex financial analysis (variance analysis, risk analysis, profit/loss analysis, etc.).
• Interface with Contracts, Accounting, and HR to ensure data conformance across departments.
• Develop and maintain tracking and reporting mechanisms used to provide continuous supervision of costs and schedules.
• Communicate project status and findings to Project and Corporate Management.
• Develop and execute internal and external project reviews.
• Utilize cross-functional knowledge in business and financial management; contract management policies, procedures and processes; scheduling; and risk management, and automated financial management systems, to provide foresight and guidance to staff of all levels to ensure contract financial and reporting compliance.
• Develop and prepare financial data to support Monthly Status Reports and Integrated Program Reviews (IPR).

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in business/accounting and finance or in a related area with 5-7 years or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using Deltek Costpoint is preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• DoD experience is preferred, but not required.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with an HSA and HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military, and jury duty paid leaves. Regular part-time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.
• This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
• The base pay for this position ranges from $70,587 to $117,646 across the U.S. There is a different range applicable for specific work locations. Base pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, training, and education.
