Job Description

Apogee is seeking a full-time Talent Acquisition Manager located at our corporate headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO. As part of the Talent Acquisition team, the Manager will be responsible for leading full cycle sourcing, recruiting, as well as assisting with proposal recruiting efforts.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage Apogee's Talent Acquisition team to deliver industry leading performance in sourcing and recruiting professional, technical talent for current positions and contract proposals
  • Train, coach, mentor, and develop Talent Acquisition team members to increase the breadth, depth, and speed of sourcing and recruiting
  • Consult with hiring managers, assist with drafting detailed job requisitions and compelling job postings, determine effective screening questions, and post requisitions
  • Maintain accountable progress of recruitment initiatives and positions by contract
  • Introduce data-driven performance objectives across the Talent Acquisition team
  • Work with hiring managers to source and recruit qualified candidates nationwide on short timelines
  • Conduct routine prioritization meetings with hiring managers to manage Talent Acquisition resource allocation to meet current and emerging hiring needs
  • Build extensive network of government contracting industry professionals via a variety of recruiting platforms, and leverage relationships to rapidly source qualified candidates for open positions
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies and source talent using the ATS, job boards, professional organizations, recruiting agencies, referrals, and live recruitment events
  • Monitor sourcing strategies using relevant, actionable metrics to determine effectiveness and adjust as needed
  • Screen talent to ensure candidates are qualified and fully vetted for the role
  • Consult with candidates to sustain their motivation and guide them through the hiring process
  • Negotiate offers, prepare offer letters, and follow up to ensure success in onboarding candidates
  • Collaborate with Apogee HR and Security to efficiently and effectively onboard candidates to enable the new hire's successful performance at the work site
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and company policies
  • Work special projects as assigned, including new contract transitions
  • May travel for site visits, career fairs, or contract transitions

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of full lifecycle recruitment experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years' experience supervising recruiting activities in a cleared defense contractor environment
  • Deep experience with a full range of recruiting platforms and ATSs, with an emphasis on advanced sourcing and data analytics to monitor and adjust sourcing strategies and Talent Acquisition team performance
  • Experience cold calling and building relationships
  • Experience identifying, engaging, and screening candidates
  • Experience assessing candidate's qualifications against Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Experience conducting market and labor analysis, particularly in geographic concentrations of professional knowledge workers
  • Working knowledge of compensation management systems, proposal development, contract management, HR policy, and personnel security management
  • Experience with offer negotiations and selling the value of contract positions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with a HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military and jury duty paid leaves. Regular part time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.
  • This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
  • The base pay for this position ranges from $94,000 to $156,000 across the U.S. There is a different range applicable for specific work locations. Base pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, training and education.
