About The Role & Team

Amplitude is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our Accounting team and support the growth within the company. You will help the team in preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, performing balance sheet and operational analysis, assisting with international accounting and compliance, and other ad hoc projects. You will work cross functionally with various departments to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions. This role, which reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager,  will help scale the accounting team while maintaining operational excellence and compliance with our accounting policies and practices.

 As a Corporate Accountant, you will: 

• Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations during Month End Close Process
• Compile compliance documentation for global statutory audits
• Work with external auditors during Annual Financial Statement Audit alongside the Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant
• Support control environment (SOX) by performing control tasks and documentation
• Assist Accounting Manager to support ad-hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed

You'll be a great addition to the team if you have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field), or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-2 years experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and ability to multitask
• Ability to work well in a dynamic, results oriented, and cross-functional team environment
• A high-level of professionalism and growth mindset 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
