Support the management of our domestic medical device accounts strategy and implement the strategic plan. Utilizes analytical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills to develop and maintain strong working relationships with administrative, contracting, and clinical leaders at assigned accounts.  


Key Responsibilities
  • Establish relationships with pertinent supply chain personnel, including heads of supply chain, contracting and value analysis and maintain key decision maker contact lists.
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, responding to RFP’s, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Act as key point of contact for Corporate Offices of assigned clinical facilities, IDNs and GPOs, supporting all contract and service related issues across all business segments.
  • Coordinate and schedule business reporting to ensure compliance and business objectives are continuously met.
  • Act as a content expert on national contract portfolio of assigned accounts, supporting field teams with strategies to optimize existing agreements.
  • Facilitates resolution of customer product issues and concerns
  • Design, develop and deliver the strategic accounts plan driving growth for accounts.  
  • Maintain routine communication with sales forces to both gather information as input to development of account strategy and share information gathered from accounts.
  • Prepare, analyze, negotiate, and implement contract solutions, terms, conditions, compliance, and consistent metrics reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation and operation of customer site visits, trade shows, conventions, and/or clinical meetings.
  • Responsible for RFI, RFP’s, including bid planning, analysis, contract development, implementation, and maintenance for accounts.
  • Ensure timely and complete bid and proposal development and delivery.
  • Serve as a key member of the sales team who contributes to strategic direction by developing, making recommendations and implementing account strategy with national accounts.
  • Support development of the Field Sales Organization regarding sales and contracting with hospital customers through education on the contracting process and guidance in processing approvals.  
  • Assist and support other employees, teams and sales personnel as necessary.
  • Know and apply the Quality Systems and any appropriate Federal and International standards


Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited institution required. 
 Experience:
  • 5+ years related experience in orthopedic medical device industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales contracting or account management.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong business planning skills
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, written and verbal, to both hospital and national account customer administrative and clinical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills demonstrated ability to interact with other professionals to gather and disseminate information.
  • Strong attention to detail, tolerance for time sensitive deadlines and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven track record in prospecting and relationship development with IDNs, GPOs, etc.
  • Computer literacy is required. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, MS
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
