Pretium is a specialized alternative investment management firm focused on U.S. residential real estate, residential credit, and corporate credit with approximately ~$51.2 billion of assets under management. Pretium was founded in 2012 to capitalize on secular investment and lending opportunities arising as a result of structural changes, disruptions, and inefficiencies within the economy. Position
We are seeking a 2023 Summer Intern on the Corporate Affairs team. Pretium’s Corporate Affairs team is responsible for building a dynamic, integrated, and cross-functional strategy – inclusive of corporate communications, marketing, strategic communications, government affairs, and corporate social responsibility – that engages internal and external stakeholders through multiple channels to promote Pretium’s brand and reputation. This position will be part of our Pretium Summer Internship Program. Our program includes formal PowerPoint and Excel training, and the internship will provide a unique experience and invaluable look into a rapidly growing asset manager through meaningful work projects, mentorship, and experiences. Interns will have the opportunity to make significant professional contributions while developing industry insights in a dynamic team environment. This position will report to the Vice President, Corporate Affairs, and is based in New York City aligning to our hybrid in office policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in proactive storytelling to get the Pretium message out in a meaningful and impactful way across all stakeholder groups
- Prepare fact sheets, talking points, Q&As, slide presentations and other communications collateral for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in implementing marketing and communications strategies and tactics for internal clients on the business development, client relations, human resources, operations, real estate, strategy, and structured credit teams
- Own projects with varying timelines, including research, writing, and creative projects that may result in memos, analysis, strategic recommendations, website content, social media content, and other deliverables.Â
- Participate in meetings (via zoom and/or in office), and, as assigned, capture project notes and deliverables, including project management inputs on Asana and/or follow-up communications
Requirements
- GPA 3.2 or above preferred
- Candidate must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s program (rising Senior / Class of 2024)
- English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Business, Marketing or other related majors preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Highly proactive with a strong work ethic and ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
- Passion to use data and collaborate with broader teams
- Strong desire to learn

Compensation for this role for a candidate in New York City is expected to be paid at an hourly rate between $36.06 - $40.87.
