Corporate Communications Lead

About The Role:

We’re hiring our first Corporate Communications Lead to tell the story of Headway and grow our brand with key audiences. Reporting to our Head of Payer Marketing and Communications, you will shape our comms strategy and expand our reach to key audiences via media, social channels, announcements, campaigns, speaking opportunities, and more. We’re looking for a performance-driven leader who has a proven capacity to build and execute against OKRs. This person must be exceptional at strategy and planning to achieve ambitious goals, while also thriving in the weeds with executional excellence and a gift for cross-functional collaboration. The right candidate will be a messaging expert, strong at developing thought leadership content, and a pro at taking complex healthcare and technology concepts and making it accessible and accurate to distinct audiences. You will… 

• Build Headway’s PR & communications function, running strategy through distribution
• Cast a vision on how to build a cohesive and strong brand across multiple audiences
• Drive Headway’s corporate comms strategy through the development of our brand to key audiences (payer partners, health care / health tech industry, talent, customers and more) via organic channels
• Develop innovative, impactful content for campaigns, announcements, thought leadership content, press releases, reporter pitches, speaking opportunities, awards submissions, blogs and more 
• Own earned social media channels end-to-end,  owning content creation and execution for corporate brand efforts across LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
• Be performance-obsessed, quantifying impact of earned media and social campaigns to achieve ambitious OKRs
• Prepare Headway team members for media-facing opportunities, aligning on briefs for panels, talking points for interviews, etc
• Conceptualize and manage thought leadership and brand opportunities
• Build deeply trusted relationships with colleagues across product, patient & provider marketing, clinical, business development, customer success, growth, CX, engineering, talent and more 

You’d be a great fit if...

• You have 5-8 years of experience leading corporate communications in high-growth, tech-enabled companies (preferably within the healthcare space) 
• You are an exceptional written and verbal communicator, with an ability to translate Headway’s value proposition and insights into compelling narratives  
• You’re gritty, results-oriented, and excited by owning ambitious comms projects at an early-stage startup 
• You’re tenacious, creative, and persistent when identifying new media opportunities
