Job Description

Team: Finance

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Corporate Controller in United States.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for building and scaling a modern, AI-enabled accounting function within a fast-growing SaaS organization preparing for the next stage of its corporate evolution. The Corporate Controller will own end-to-end financial close, reporting, audit readiness, and treasury operations while serving as the technical accounting authority across the business. This role is deeply embedded in strategic decision-making and partners closely with the CFO on financial integrity, scalability, and IPO readiness. A core aspect of the position is redefining how accounting work is performed through AI-driven automation, intelligent workflows, and data-informed controls. The environment is fast-paced, global, and highly collaborative, requiring both technical excellence and a builder’s mindset. This is a unique opportunity for a finance leader who wants to shape the future of accounting operations at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Own and lead the full financial close process (monthly, quarterly, annual), including record-to-report and procure-to-pay cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and support SEC reporting readiness for a future public company environment
  • Act as technical accounting authority for complex transactions, revenue recognition, and disclosure requirements
  • Design and implement AI-driven close processes, including automated reconciliations, variance analysis, and exception management to improve efficiency and cycle times
  • Lead all audit activities, serving as primary liaison with external auditors and ensuring efficient, well-documented audit execution
  • Establish and maintain SOX-compliant internal controls and accounting policies across global entities
  • Own commissions accounting, ensuring accurate calculation, accrual, payout, and compliance with ASC 606 / 340-40 standards
  • Manage treasury operations including liquidity, FX exposure, and cash management strategy in partnership with finance leadership
  • Oversee financial systems architecture, including ERP and related tools, ensuring scalability and automation readiness
  • Drive AI transformation across the accounting function, defining governance standards, adoption strategy, and automation roadmap
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, People, and Revenue Operations on planning, forecasting, and compensation-related accounting impacts
  • Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering AI fluency, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Requirements:

    • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller-level leadership in a SaaS or recurring revenue environment
    • Strong expertise in US GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and multi-entity global consolidations
    • Proven experience leading audit processes and managing relationships with external auditors
    • Deep understanding of revenue recognition, commissions accounting, and complex technical accounting issues
    • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite and financial system implementations
    • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation tools to materially improve accounting operations and efficiency
    • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities with experience in scalable reporting frameworks
    • Excellent communication and executive-level business partnering skills across cross-functional teams
    • Ability to lead and mentor high-performing finance teams in a fast-scaling environment
    • CPA certification required with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
    • Strong judgment in evaluating AI outputs and ensuring appropriate human oversight in financial decision-making
    • Strategic mindset with a passion for building modern, automated finance functions
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary range of 198,000 to 214,000 USD
      • Performance-based bonus eligibility and potential equity participation
      • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents
      • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions
      • Flexible time off policy with encouragement for at least 4 weeks annually
      • Up to 8 weeks of paid parental leave
      • Work-from-home stipend to support remote productivity
      • Flexible and globally distributed work environment
      • Strong focus on learning, development, and internal career mobility
