Job Description
Ridgeline’s legal team is dedicated to protecting the company’s core values by delivering sound and practical advice to business decision makers. Our first Corporate Counsel will be a trusted commercial partner to several business leaders and a valued deal advisor.  You will work closely with our sales, product and finance teams to execute world class Go-To-Market and Purchasing motions at an exciting high-growth company. You will be highly valued for accelerating revenue, managing risk, and helping Ridgeline’s business run smoothly and continuously improve.Â
What will you do?
- Accelerate Ridgeline’s revenue growth in partnership with our sales team
- Deliver training, relationship management, and execution of a commercial contracting playbook
- Execute and advise business teams throughout our and our customers’ complex enterprise purchasing cycles, by drafting, positioning and negotiating deal documentsÂ
- Define and influence processes for intake, playbooks, escalation, and contract management
- Assist with deploying a contract lifecycle management system for a complex vertical SaaS business, taking the long view
- Identify additional legal areas of interest and contribute to their growth and successÂ
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience drafting, negotiating and closing enterprise SaaS or other complex contracts
- Candidates with corporate transactional law firm experience are encouraged to apply
- 2+ years’ experience advising on data classification and related regulatory requirements, such as GDPR and CCPA
- Trustworthy teammate with outstanding judgment and integrity
- Generalist growth mindset, where no task is too small, and the prospect of your career growth being aligned with the company’s growth excites you
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with attorneys, business leaders, and colleagues of varying backgrounds
- JD and bar admission in one state required
