Job Description
Your Role
As Zip's Corporate Counsel you will be responsible for reviewing drafting and negotiating various legal agreements and contracts that are critical to Zipβs business operations. You will work closely with Zipβs Director of Legal to support the sales product and executive teams to ensure that the company's legal interests are protected while facilitating smooth business transactions.
You Will

Review draft and negotiate customer contracts including software license agreements and other revenue-related contracts.

Review draft and negotiate vendor contracts.

Provide legal guidance and support on a wide range of commercial transactions including partnerships vendor agreements and other business contracts.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the business requirements and provide practical legal solutions.

Provide legal advice and support on a variety of privacy matters as needed.
Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the relevant state bar association.

3+ years of experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts preferably in the technology or software industry.

Strong understanding of contract law intellectual property law and other relevant legal areas.

Excellent drafting negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide practical legal advice.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience with SaaS business models and revenue recognition principles is a plus.

Experience working with startups or in fast-paced environments is a plus.
The salary range for this role is $160000 - $200000. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location relevant experience education or particular skills and expertise.
