The Corporate Counsel / Senior Corporate Counsel (Contracts) will provide legal expertise in matters relating to the operation of Aya Healthcare with a focus on handling transactional commercial contract matters.

 Responsibilities:

• Review, draft, redline, negotiate, and approve for execution, Aya Healthcare’s day-to-day business to business contracts and contract amendments, including agreements with clients, suppliers, and vendors
• Develop and recommend improvements for standard contractual documents, templates, playbooks and clause libraries.
• Assist internal clients with contract negotiation and RFP responses, as appropriate
• Perform legal analysis and make recommendations on legal, contractual, risk, and compliance issues relating to contract matters

Required Qualifications: 

• Must be admitted to the State Bar of California and in good standing
• Must have J.D. from ABA-accredited law school
• 7+ years’ experience dealing with transactional matters is highly preferred
• Experience in healthcare, staffing, or services industry a plus
• Preferred prior experience at a mid to large sized law firm and in-house legal department
• Preferred experience working with contract management or document management software
• Ability to work accurately in fast-paced environment and maintain a sense of urgency
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent interpersonal relations
