What You’ll Do:

Traeger is looking for a Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. You will be a self-motivated individual who should be comfortable working in a rapid-growth, fast paced sales-driven environment. As Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for the review and management of all contracts for the organization, including managing internal expectations of business team members, engaging directly with customers, vendors, partners and their attorneys during contract negotiations. This position will report directly to our General Counsel.

How You'll Help Us Win:

• You will be an integral part of the Traeger Legal Team and will have opportunities to learn and grow as you take on a large variety of legal projects across multiple functions, countries, and businesses
• You will be responsible for many commercial transactions and will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, client contracts, confidentiality agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws
• Maintain and improve the day-to-day operations and administration of the company's contracting processes and procedures for all legal contracts including preparing, implementing and optimizing forms, processes and procedures
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and project teams, to ensure contract terms align with business objectives and minimize potential legal liabilities
• Assist the General Counsel in managing various legal affairs and willingness to take on various legal projects to support Traeger’s legal needs and growth
• Interface with internal departmental teams to assist in the Legal team’s efforts to understand needs and prioritization of existing and proposed projects
• Streamline contract management processes and templates (including automation through contracts administration software)
• Conduct training sessions for internal business teams regarding contract procedures and/or legal topics as necessary
• Perform legal research, as requested on topics for the company
• Assist the General Counsel in managing insurance and other product related claims
• Assist the General Counsel and compliance team in management, updating, and enforcement of the Company’s global compliance plan.  This includes responsibility for all legal aspects of products, packaging, language, product support information, warnings, materials regulations, environmental and safety regulations, and corporate social responsibility
• Assist operations team in import/export and tariff code/classification determinations

What You Need To Win:

• JD Degree from an accredited and recognized law school is required
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a large law firm or in-house experience with an emphasis on commercial transactions, preparing and negotiating contracts and managing general legal requests and workflow processes
• Preference for deep experience in drafting and negotiating international agreements (e.g., service, commercial, etc.), and broad experience with a range of standard contracts (e.g., service agreements, employment, influencer, endorsement, etc.)
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service approach
• Experience with contracts management systems preferred
• Attentive to details while balancing with larger business and strategic needs
• Ability to take initiative, be accountable, make good decisions, demonstrate good judgment and be a pragmatic problem solver
• Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation and drafting skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize work to meet business demands
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
