About this Role

At Fandom, a Corporate Development Associate will be part of a visible and active deal team that guides the corporate development lifecycle, in partnership with our executive leadership, main operational partners and our private equity investor, TPG. You will report to the VP of Corporate Development and work with senior leaders managing all stages of the evaluation and acquisition processes.

The Corporate Development team leads and works from the M&A strategy, managing inbound deal flows and outbound deal sourcing, negotiating, structuring, implementing impactful acquisitions, and informing our strategy by identifying industry trends and maintaining relationships with startups, entrepreneurs, VCs, PE funds, bankers and strategics. This is a remote role

You Will...
  • Work with the VP of Corporate Development on deal sourcing, qualification, initial rationale/pitch, financial modeling, due diligence and closing & integration activities
  • Sourcing
  • Analyze industry trends to identify potential acquisition targets
  • Develop industry landscapes and competitive analyses for board/executive level review
  • Cold-calling and external relationship management
  • Diligence
  • Direct diligence efforts between internal and external parties
  • Analyze diligence data and create board/executive level presentations
  • Manage data room and distribution of materials to appropriate parties, main contact for diligence requests
  • Financial Modeling
  • Independently build financial models and forecasts for potential acquisition targets to inform valuation and budgetary needs
  • Be comfortable working with limited information to create low/base/high scenario analyses
You Have...
  • 3-7+ years of investment banking, corporate development and/or private equity experience
  • Expertise in building financial and valuation models
  • Able to operate under time constraints
  • Analytical and detail-oriented
  • Must-Have skills: Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and Google Sheets, PowerPoint and Google Slides
Bonus Points...
  • Experience working in or with gaming, entertainment, digital media or internet services industries
  • Experience navigating organizations with a matrix org structure
  • Pitchbook, SimilarWeb, Comscore, Google Analytics, Amplitude are a bonus
