Corporate Health & Safety Specialist
Job Description
The Safety and Industrial Hygiene Professional utilize and develop advanced and innovative techniques to support health & safety in work environments including offices infrastructure facilities or field operations. They recommend strategies to evaluate and control potential hazards provide advice and council on health and safety measures maintain awareness of regulatory and internal requirements in addition to technical advancements in healthy and safety disciplines.
Your Role and Responsibilities

- You will provide technical direction advice and counsel to Management and employees based on legal requirements and global standards.
- You will act as primary interface with management local authorities and third parties. Also upkeep safety procedures as per requirement.
- You will keep abreast of regulatory changes & organisation requirements.
- You will evaluate & recognize potential hazards/risks and recommend prevention controls.
- You will participate in H&S audits management reviews & peer reviews.

- Provide services as per current legislation related to Occupational Safety Industrial Hygiene and Fire Protection of Hungary.
- Professionally represent the company in the event of an official authority investigation or inspection related to Safety Industrial Hygiene or Fire Protection.
- Ensure H&S documentation is kept up to date monitor periodical reporting and data obligations and suggest solutions to H&S related problems.
- Keep abreast and inform management of any legal changes and possible obligations caused by these changes.
- Support in conducting legally required training for new employees and annual refresher training for regular employees.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
What you will bring to the team
Education: Bachelor/Post Bachelor’s degree in Technical field.
Should have completed a course and certified in the field of Occupational Health & Safety.
Familiar with IT office applications & social media competence
In addition to proficiency in local language should have good communication skills and proficient in English language – Reading Writing & Spoken
Would expect 5 years or more work experience in the field of Occupational Health & Safety preferably having worked in Information Technology Service industry Electronic industry or related environment with large employee base.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with the following are bonus points but not necessary you can learn them at IBM
- Supporting in implementation maintenance and continuous improvement of ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management system.
- Safety concepts with home working mobile working client locations and events.
- Ability to develop health & safety training modules and impart training to large employee base through innovative approach.
