Corporate Integration Finance Controller

The Corporate Integration Finance Controller is responsible to lead the month end close activities for the EU & AMEAP region, with a focus on our newly acquired business of Royal Steensma. You will be coordinating budget and forecast integration in BPC.
In this role you will also support in the following areas:

• Integration of the newly acquired Royal Steensma business in the Netherlands with Dawn Europe, ensuring compliance with the latest accounting standards and regulations, in cooperation with our US HQ Finance Team
• Implementation and maintenance of Dawn Group control standards and policies in Royal Steensma (RS) and Dawn Europe
• Dawn Europe's financial consolidation and monthly financial statement preparation

This role is based in Amstelveen and will report to the Finance Director Accounting Standards & Reporting EU & AMEAP.
Fundamentals of the position:

• Execution of month end close activities for Europe/AMEAP region with focus on RS.
• Support day to day financial activities for Amstelveen Head Office and RS.
• Responsible for the monthly consolidation and reporting in the managerial and financial model.
• Responsible for BPC administration.
• Responsible to support central functions with reporting and analysis.
• Support on RS integration as Project Officer (PMO).
• To co-ordinate the development of budget and forecast consolidation, system upload.
• Support year-end accounting, auditing & statutory accounts processes in RS ensuring accurate controls to meet both the requirements of Dawn Foods and Legal/Statutory bodies.
• Support monthly corporate reporting and presentations.
• Support documentation of processes across the group with focus on RS.
• Support monthly and annual financial statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances; summarizing data, information, and trends.
• Support to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards.
• Support compliance with Dawn's global accounting standards.
• Support to develop, deploy, and oversee business processes for controls, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work closely with other team members and will provide cover where and when necessary.
• Assist with year end auditing tasks as needed.
• Perform any other reasonable duties required.

To be successful you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required, Master's degree preferred
• Preferred certification such as CPA, CMA, CIMA

• 8+ years experience in a multi-national financial reporting environment including understanding of foreign currency effects, consolidation and US and Dutch GAAP reporting
• Demonstrated ability to apply new accounting standards
• BPC reporting experience preferred
• SAP experience preferred

• Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
• Fluent in English (verbal and written), another European language (preferably Dutch), is a plus
• Ability to travel, i.e. driving, flying, international and overnight travel as required
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure to meet short deadlines
• Ability to work in a matrix organization
