Position Description
The Corporate Paralegal position, reporting to the Managing Director Legal, General Counsel provides legal, compliance, administrative, and corporate housekeeping support to the organization.
The Corporate Paralegal is a regular, full-time position, and is eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating the review and execution process of the company’s different contracts and keeping records of the agreements.
- Assists in implementing changes to contracts to comply with Company standard internal policies and procedures.
- Responsible for support related to litigation, mediation, arbitration, and responses to complaints.
- Renewing and maintaining company corporate records of legal entities.
- Drafting, managing, and filing (with the assistance of the Company Registered Agent) various business entity documents for corporations and LLCs with State agencies.
- Drafting legal contracts and corporate resolutions based on Company templates and other documents under the supervision of the Managing Director Legal, General Counsel.
Preferred Qualifications & Essential Skills
- 5-7 years of experience in legal, compliance, administrative and corporate housekeeping support.
- Knowledge of how a Legal and/or Compliance department is managed.
- Demonstrated competency in helping maintain corporate record books and in drafting and/or completing form of agreements and corporate resolutions.
- Proficiency in using virtual data rooms to upload and organize documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Notary Public in Florida or ability to become a Notary Public.
- High school/GED.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
- Paralegal certification a plus.
