To support our continued growth, we're seeking a resourceful, responsive and resilient Paralegal to deliver high-quality legal services and support to internal and external stakeholders, driving process optimization around contract negotiation and revenue operations.
This Brooklyn-based role is an exciting opportunity to join Microblink during a period of ambitious growth, bringing form and function to the legal team's stateside support services.
As a Corporate Paralegal, you will:
- Provide legal guidance to internal teams in Sales, Customer Success, Product and Operations regarding the implications of product development and distribution, sales execution, labor law and organizational structure.
- Draft, review, revise and/or audit a variety of legal documents, including, but not limited to: sales contracts, confidentiality and/or non-disclosure agreements, cooperation agreements, service-level agreements, non-compete agreements, licensing agreements, terms of service, and/or employment agreements to ensure effective provision for and protection of Microblink's interests and commercial impact, as well as legal and regulatory compliance.
- Research and report on legislation that impacts Microblink's products and/or operations such as data privacy laws.
- Originate, operationalize and optimize internal processes, projects and tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness in the legal organization.
You might be right for us if you:
- Offer 4-5 years of experience providing high-quality legal support and services in a corporate environment - preferably in the tech industry.
- Have completed an Undergraduate Degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Pre-Law or a related program.
- Offer exceptional business acumen and advanced understanding of legal language, processes, principles and research methods.
- Are a dynamic 'do-er,' who offers subject matter expertise related to negotiating sales contracts for complex, B2B Software.
- Are ambitious and achievement-oriented with a bias to action and sense of urgency around follow-through and follow-up.
- Are diligent and discerning with meticulous attention to detail BUT ALSO adaptable enough to thrive in a scaling organization where ambiguity and opportunity for improvement abound.
