Corporate Social Responsibility Director

Location: Farmers Branch, TX

The Corporate Social Responsibility Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company’s strategies and initiatives related to social responsibility, sustainability, and social compliance. Reporting to the VP, Strategic Sourcing, this role aligns the company’s business practices with social, environmental, and ethical considerations to create positive impacts on society while supporting the company’s overall goals and reputation. The Corporate Social Responsibility Director focuses on high-risk areas, including offshore fair living wage compliance, and ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements, public commitments, and ethical standards. This position requires strategic oversight and hands-on management, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate risks, promote responsible sourcing practices, and drive continuous improvement in compliance processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Compliance Leadership: Develop, implement, and oversee the company’s social responsibility strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirement

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, focusing on high-risk areas and ensuring compliance with fair living wage standards, particularly in offshore manufacturing regions

  • Public Commitments: Ensure the company meets its public-facing commitments related to responsible sourcing, sustainability, and ethical labor practices; provide regular updates to leadership and external stakeholders

  • Supplier Audits: Lead and manage supplier audits to ensure compliance with the company’s code of conduct

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the VP, Strategic Sourcing, as well as cross-functional teams to drive compliance initiatives and align with broader business goals

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in compliance processes, leveraging data and insights to enhance supplier performance and reduce risk

  • Training & Development: Develop and deliver training programs for internal teams and suppliers on compliance standards, regulatory changes, and ethical sourcing practices

  • Reporting: Prepare and present compliance reports to senior leadership, highlighting key risks, compliance status, and areas for improvement

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies that align with corporate goals and address complex compliance challenges

  • In-depth knowledge of social responsibility standards, and affiliations with key industry organizations, i.e. the FLA. 

  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks within a global supply chain, particularly in high-risk and offshore environments

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Commitment to ethical sourcing practices, with a strong focus on fairness, transparency, and accountability

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive informed decision-making

  • Excellent project management skills, with a focus on execution, delivering on commitments, and managing stakeholders

  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, manage complexity, and lead change in a dynamic business environment

  • Ability to travel to both domestic and international locations

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred

  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in managing global social compliance programs, with a proven track record of ensuring regulatory adherence and ethical sourcing practices; significant experience interacting with senior leadership and cross-functional teams

  • Proficient in the use of data analytics tools to monitor supplier performance and compliance metrics; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly
