Job Description
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management of standard cost setting for materials and labor for multiple product categories
- Reconciling raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory for three different legal entities
- Prepares monthly Sales and COGS report and addresses associated issues
- Evaluates unit cost variances
- Provides direct support to plant controller during the annual profit plan, monthly outlook, and inter-month outlooking processes for three separate legal entities
- Provides financial leadership during the annual physical inventory
- Collaboration with external and internal auditors
- Provides direction and guidance to operations as it pertains to inventory and cost management items
- Completion of journal entries and account reconciliations for three separate legal entities
- Support in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (Section 404) and BOS (Business Operating System).
- Support safety programs for the company.
- Ability to remain steadfast and encouraged in the challenging pursuit of information required to complete assigned responsibilities in a complex and fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Other duties (to include administrative/clerical) as required by the Plant Controller.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree with major in accounting or equivalent and three (3) or more years of accounting/financial experience in a manufacturing environment. CMA, CPA, or MBA a plus. Related experience, training, education, or some combination of all three may be considered.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to effectively present information to top management. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals and financial reports. Ability to respond to inquiries from customers and management.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be computer literate and familiar with appropriate software programs. Ability to create visual aids for communication purposes. PC based software knowledge must include word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and email-based systems. Familiarity with HFM, MFG/Pro, SAP, and Monarch preferred.
