Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Cost Accountant located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Controller Assistant the Cost Accountant role will collaborate in charge of preparing and maintaining accounting records and researching and interpreting accounting records to give advice or prepare statements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Perform periodic reviews of Profit and Loss (P&L) accounts to ensure that all the postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process, and Procedures.
• Compare the Actual with the Forecast / Quote and ensure that the variances are correct. researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books.
• Collect the business reasons for the remaining variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile all the scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub-ledger/manual schedule to identify the variance, if any, and ensure that those variances are properly dealt with in the books of accounts.
• Review the accounts on a periodic basis to identify any potential risk and ensure that the same is mitigated properly.
• Ensure that all the book close-related/reporting activities are properly planned and executed on a timely basis with utmost accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for the related accounts.
• Work along with the Operations team to improve the business / operational metrics.
• Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory, and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS as a public accountant, financial planner, or equivalent work experience.
• Mid experience in a similar position.
• Advanced English.
• Internal and external customer service attitude.
• Familiarity with Profit and Loss statements P&L.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, other).
• Experience in the manufacturing industry.
