Job Title: Cost Accountant

Job Summary: This position will perform a variety of tasks within the cost accounting function reporting to the Cost Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will have strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills along with a general understanding of product costing.

What you’ll do

• Maintain standard costs in association with Bill Of Materials including fixed vs. variable costs.
• Analyze actual costs and provide periodic reporting comparing standard costs to actual costs to facilitate operational effectiveness
• Assist in the improvement of internal controls related to inventory
• Monitor inventory transactions
• Assist in the reconciliation of inventory and cost of good sold accounts
• Assist in understanding costs, purchase price variances, and other operating measures
• Assist in the calculation of inventory reserves
• Assist with annual physical inventory
• Assist in cycle count tracking and reporting
• Support internal reviews and external audits
• Other duties as assigned from time-to-time            

What you’ll bring

• Three (3) to four (4) years of accounting experience required.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proficient with accounting software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

• Base salary range: 70000.00 - 105000.00 $. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. It is common for TPCi to start employees below the midpoint of the range. Final base salary is directly related to each candidate’s qualifications and experience uniquely.
