Job Summary
Nidec is looking for a energetic and skilled Cost Accountant to join our team. Nidec is a fast paced manufacturing facility which highly values Passion, Enthusiasm and Respect.

Job Description

• Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports and costing audits.
• Examines and reviews unusual cost records and ensures cost data is allocated correctly.
• Interact with individuals outside of the Finance department and resolve real time issues.
• In charge of fixed assets for the Finance team.
• Leads/coordinates site semi-annual physical inventory counts.
• Assist Controller in development and analysis of standard labor and overhead rates.
• Assist Controller with periodic reporting requirements and analytical support.
• Provide backup assistance to other functions within the department.
• May perform other projects and accounting duties as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing cost accountant role.
• Oracle experience is highly desired.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards related to costs and fixed asset accounting.
• Must have worked on semi-complex project teams.
• Must be proficient in MS Office applications
• Must be able to lead others

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
